Lumito Welcomes Pathologist Paul Waring as Scientific Advisor

In October, Lumito proudly welcomed Paul Waring as a member of our Scientific Advisory Board. Paul is an experienced pathologist with a distinguished clinical pathology and drug development background.

He first visited our Lund office on November 28, and we are already planning future visits. During his visit, he gained deeper insights into our SCIZYS technology and had the opportunity to meet the entire Lumito team.

After the visit Paul shared his thoughts on our technology and its potential:

“Thank you to Sanna and the Lumito team for the opportunity to dive into their patented SCIZYS technology. I was impressed by the high sensitivity (at least 10x more than traditional immunohistochemistry), the broad linear dynamic range, the absence of autofluorescence, and the ability to combine H&E and IHC signals without channel crosstalk. Each of these features represents a breakthrough in IHC staining, imaging, and quantitation, with the potential to significantly expand the utility of IHC in biomarker quantitation and diagnostic pathology. The technology is now poised for exploration in multiple applications.”

Lumito first met Paul at the ECP Congress in Florence this September and quickly noticed his invaluable expertise and insights for our continued development. His experience, including his role as Executive Director of Translational Pathology at AstraZeneca and his work developing sensitive immunohistochemistry assays, makes him a perfect partner for Lumito.

Paul sees great potential in Lumito’s technology:

“Lumito’s nanoparticle technology offers sensitivity and precision critical for quantifying low levels of protein expression in tissue samples. This solution meets clinical needs and has the potential to help more patients benefit from powerful new treatments.”

We are delighted to have Paul on board as our first Scientific Advisor. His deep knowledge and unique perspective will be instrumental as we continue developing our products and addressing significant needs!
